HIV Prevention Leadership Summit (HPLS)

The National HIV Prevention Leadership Summit (HPLS) will be held in Detroit, MI, June 11-14, 2008. 

HPLS Seeks Volunteers - See the Letter of Invitation and the Application Form (fill in on-line, print and mail)  NOTE: Volunteers at the conference receive one free day of attendance at the conference; 
See the HPLS Agenda to see what workshops, roundtables, and/or institutes you want to attend so you don't volunteer for those time slots. The Summit brochure is not out yet; this is an advance preview of the Summit agenda.

If you have already sent in your volunteer application, please do not send in another one. Instead, please contact the Volunteer Committee Chair, Rev. James Curry jcurry@med.wayne.edu  or call his work number, 313-592-3601
to indicate new times that you are available to volunteer.

HPLS Host Committee Display
Michigan Prevention Agencies are invited to participate in the Host Committee Display by:

  1. Submitting materials for a website that will highlight Michigan agencies and Michigan prevention programs. (Please see following page for more on this.) This website will be linked to the Michigan HIV News website as a sub-web. There will be computer display at the Host Committee Exhibit Booth to access the information, and it will be available to the summit participants, using their own Internet connection, during and following the summit;

    And/OR

  2. Assigning your staff to be stationed at the Host Committee Exhibit Booth, to greet conference participants, engage them in conversation about your prevention program(s) and provide your prevention program materials for distribution (during your staff time at the display booth).
